The Search For Lost Apples

Although hundreds of old mountain apples have long since disappeared, many old trees still exist as aging relics, lost and neglected, in old fields and forests, abandoned homesteads, and even the backyards of many current homes throughout the Appalachian mountains. Therefore, we ask that you contact us should you have an old Appalachian apple or any other heirloom variety that you wish to save or know of any old abandoned trees or orchards where a long-missing variety may still be hiding. Lost varieties are still occasionally "rediscovered" and, with your help, we can save these Southern heirlooms from disappearing forever.
